Pakenham Childcare, Daycare & Kindergarten

Our outdoor environments are a true hidden sanctuary, complete with sandpits, a dry creek bed, veggie gardens, and shaded cubby spaces where children can explore nature and learn about sustainability. Under the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), families are allowed 42 absence days per child, per financial year. These can be taken for any reason, including public holidays and when children are sick, without requiring families to provide documentation. While we understand that this can be inconvenient, Community Kids is committed to maintaining a healthy environment and reducing the risk of infection for all children. As your child prepares to head home, this is your opportunity to speak with our friendly educators about your child’s day and everything they learnt.
Our Pakenham childcare is staffed by a team childcare centres near pakenham of experienced and fully qualified educators who are committed to providing the best possible care for every child. Following the Early Years Learning Framework and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, we work closely with families to support every child’s growth, learning, and happiness. I am incredibly passionate about fostering growth, wellbeing, and confidence during these formative years. I believe that for a child to excel,  they must first feel celebrated for who they are. To achieve this, I place immense value on building strong, transparent relationships with our families.

At our Pakenham childcare centres, seasonal, delicious and nutritious meals are freshly made daily. You will also receive daily photos and updates of your child’s learning and development through our family communication app. I am passionate about leading and guiding educators to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children. Throughout my career, I have built strong relationships with children, families, and teams.
Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life. We provide learning experiences tailored to each stage of your child’s development. Our programs are guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and designed to support children’s wellbeing, confidence and growing independence. At Community Kids, we understand the importance of finding the perfect childcare solution for your family. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to provide accessible and exceptional child care services across Australia. With our dedicated educators, safe and nurturing environments, and a commitment to your child’s growth and development, we are here to support you and your family in your parenting journey.
Our sustainability program incorporates gardening, recycling, and eco-friendly practices to instill a sense of responsibility  and environmental awareness from a young age. We’re part of many different communities, supporting families from all walks of life. Every Story House-er brings something unique and when all those different pieces connect, it creates something truly beautiful.

Our longstanding educator team provides consistency and strong relationships with families, with some educators having more than 20 years of service. We use CCTV security cameras in key areas of the campus to help protect children, families, and staff. Footage is securely managed and only accessed for authorised safety and compliance purposes, giving families peace of mind. Additionally, through the Sleep Smart program, educators receive expert guidance to enhance sleep practices, further ensuring the safety and well-being of all children. Story House Early Learning prioritises children’s well-being ensuring each child’s comfort and safety during rest times.
Young families are drawn to the area by its relative affordability, new housing developments and growing community infrastructure. With 100 licensed places and a service history dating to January 2012, it is one of Pakenham's most established long day care services. One Tree’s educational program aligns with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.

This experience has also deepened my understanding of the community’s needs and the children I have the privilege to educate and care for. For children with additional needs or behaviours of concern, we collaborate with inclusion support professionals, allied health teams, and our Kindergarten Improvement Advisor. These partnerships help us apply for additional support, develop strategies, and create inclusive, nurturing environments where all children can thrive. We tailor our program to meet the individual needs of every child, working closely with families, educators, and support professionals. Through ongoing communication, feedback forms, and regular meetings, we ensure each child’s strengths and challenges are understood and supported.
We pay our respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today. If your child is already registered (or once registered), you can make a booking by logging into the Camp Australia app, or via the online Parent Portal. We regularly review room availability, as a result, you will receive a text message confirming if you’re still happy to remain on the waitlist each month or if your plans have changed.
