Karen is proud of the neuroinclusive work environment that she has created, all of the team are neurodiverse, with the majority autistic, ADHD & dyslexic. Employers across Wales have been working hard to raise awareness of neurodivergence and create inclusive workplaces for all, but there is still work to be done to ensure all employees feel supported, included and valued at work. The multidisciplinary assessments we undertake allow us to curate a detailed picture of strengths, difficulties, needs, and future care requirements. This helps to provide a detailed map for how we ensure an individual receives the bespoke support and treatment needed to redress what is making life difficult, and indeed what needs to be done to help. Most importantly, an autism assessment can help you access critical support services and accommodations, which can enhance your everyday life. You can trust Connect To Autism’s personalised autism assessments to provide you with all the insight and information needed to live a more  empowered life.
Our mission is to create inclusive spaces where neurodivergent individuals are understood, supported, and empowered to thrive. Depending on the assessment the person may be able to access the entire process online at a time to suit themselves. It may involve more than one meeting and its likely that they will need to complete pre-assessment screening forms. On occasion the assessment process benefits from additional information from family members or a spouse. If your staff member needs to be present for any element of their assessment then your assessor will work with them to arrange this.

By having the training, provided by the National Autism Team, we will be offering a more inclusive service. We offer Neurodiversity Assessment a range of UK counselling and neurodiversity coaching services and support for people with neurodiverse traits e.g. autism and ADHD, and their families too. Welcome to FSW Psychology, based in the heart of Snowdonia, offering the highest standard of neurodiversity assessments, across North Wales, the North West and beyond. The resources within this section were developed for Learning Support Assistants (LSAs). These materials are designed to support LSAs in building their knowledge, skills, and understanding of neurodivergence, helping them to better assist neurodivergent students.
Activities such as climbing, swimming, gaming, horse riding and more, are designed to provide a safe, understanding and supportive environment for the participants, as well as an opportunity to socialise and learn from each other. Since launching our Cardiff clinic in 2022, we’ve been able to increase regional capacity and carry out hundreds of assessments. With our full range of assessments available, we are able to carry out assessments for both autism & ADHD as well as combinations of the two. Parents/ carers  can self-refer to the service, if your child has received a diagnosis of autism  you will be able to access some  training and advice from the Integrated Autism Service. Your local integrated care board might be able to offer you support in the form of services, technologies, or resources for neurodiversity. A workplace needs assessment should be carried out by a qualified workplace needs assessor who has experience of supporting neurodivergent people in the workplace.

If your training provider chooses to work with us, we help them to access funding from the ESFA, the Education and Skills Funding Agency. This helps fund your neurodiversity questionnaire and any additional support you may need. If you haven't already heard about neurodiversity, it's a term to help us understand how and why we experience, learn, communicate or process information differently.
'To see her face light up, because she is gaining a much needed understanding of herself, made my day. Having identified our concerns about X's writing skills, but without knowing why this was an issue for him, it felt quite emotional to be getting a detailed assessment of his needs. The facilitating staff spoke to a number of attendees in the forum, all of which provided positive feedback about the change of the structure and agreed that it was more relaxed and provided a better opportunity for socialising. The symposium is aimed at employers, supported employment providers, and key employment staff, and it is available to view here. Below you will find further information about the key work programmes and events that have taken place and documents that has been developed and are available to download. We are a small neurodiverse team funded by Welsh Government and hosted by the Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA), working in partnership with Health.
The aim of the Charity is to replace the stigma around neurodiversity and promote a positive perception. Karen started AP Cymru (a registered charity) in 2009, not long after her youngest son received his autism diagnosis at just 22 months old. In 2006 her eldest son received his diagnosis and finally, in 2018 Karen received her own diagnosis aged 43.

It is essential that the SENCo’s contact details and a partially completed Form 8 is provided prior to the assessment. To use this assessment to award access arrangements and to process an application using Access Arrangements Online (AAO) a working relationship must be established between the assessor and the school. Put simply, neurodiversity challenges the medical model of causation and cure and instead celebrates conditions such as autism and ADHD as an inseparable aspect of identity. Having an awareness and understanding of one’s own neurodiverse traits leads to a positive identity that needs no cure. In today's rapidly evolving technological landscape, personalised assistive technology training has become a cornerstone for enhancing individual capabilities and fostering inclusive environments.
These resources include information to increase understanding and awareness and to also help address many of the barriers that a neurodivergent learner may face. This plan outlines reasonable adjustments and accommodations that can be made to support your academic and personal development. By working together, we can tailor our support to your unique strengths and challenges, ensuring that you have the best possible experience at Cardiff Met. Advisers have a deep understanding of ASC and its unique challenges, and they are trained to offer guidance and assistance throughout your university journey.

The team referred us to the Welsh Government’s neurodivergence network which consists of neurodivergent Welsh Government employees. We shared our research discussion guides with them to ensure that the language we used was right. We conducted desktop research based on recommended materials from the Welsh Government’s neurodivergence and learning disabilities team to get an overview and understanding of the existing neurodivergence assessment and referrals service. Choosing to have a neurodiversity assessment can help people understand themselves better. We support organisations and founders to understand, value and harness neurodiverse strengths.
