Carpentry experiences allow Charlotte and her friends to extend their learning through real-life experiences. While participating in carpentry, Charlotte is learning to problem solve, experiment and predict.

It supports language, motor skills, memory, emotions and social relationships. Educators plan play-based learning experiences based on children’s interests and goals. Our toddler room is set up with intentional play-based learning in mind. Within the curriculum framework, play enables your toddler to develop fundamental skills for life-long learning.
My oldest comes home singing new songs and telling us all the new things she’s learned. My youngest has severe eczema and they have been extremely supportive of us trialling different dietary restrictions and just in general with everything to do with it. Great daily updates with photos of the kids and what they’ve been up to, and what/when they’ve eaten that day as well.

At our neighbourhood centre, The DEN, we provide a safe venue for a variety of programs designed to engage and educate children, families and adults from the local community. We seek to promote learning activities and friendships, support minority and vulnerable groups, and assist families in building networks and accessing local support services. On any given day you can see the nursery children engaging in all types of play including sensory play, music time, story time and more. Every day provides a brand new, exciting adventure for our babies to support their development, learning and wellbeing. Our inclusive open-door policy welcomes parents to visit our service, engage in discussions with educators and participate in children's learning.
I had to follow up via call after pickup the day of and was told they "had no idea" and they'd "follow up" and call me back. After a week of no contact from the centre I sent an email regarding unenrolling my child as I felt his health and safety were not concerning to them and felt as though they were sweeping it all under the rug. Only to organise a phone call for a half-assed apology and no responsibility. Thankyou Karen for neglecting my child and accepting no accountability. I want to say BIG THANK YOU to all childcare educators at PLAY childcare especially Maddison and Lely in nursery 1 for taking care of my baby.

We believe in the importance of play-based learning in the early years. All children are respected to ensure they feel safe and secure in their home away from home environment. We are a 47 place long day care centre with 3 rooms ranging from 0-5 year old. My children have developed strong bond with all the educators and I feel they are learning new things everyday.
From day one,  each child is supported by a Key Educator, helping them develop a secure and trusting relationship, which supports their sense of belonging and emotional well-being. 'No Jab No Play' is the Victorian Government legislation requiring all children to be fully immunised before enrolling in any childcare and/or kindergarten in Victoria.
